student retention
It seems like in order to keep students in class, a mother of a student is paying his son $10.00 a day to stay in class.
Should this school come-up with something like this in order to keep our student retention up?
No, I disagree as well. The student should want to be there and encouraged by the instructor. Hopefully the family is supportive in a positive fashion.
NO! The student obviously is spoiled and needs counseling.

As adults career college students have chosen to be in the career area they are training for. For some the selection is personal and for others it is more forced. Instructors should do all they can to encourage students but they in the end have to decide if they are going to put forth the work it takes to be successful.
