As an adult learner I had heavy financial burdens. Getting a higher education was my way to obtain the better positions offered at my place of work. I attribute my success to that financial burden as it motivated me to continue to pursue what I had started out to do. Quitting was the way to end it all but I hung in there and it was all worth it. I did advance in my department and I owe it all to that degree.
