i think that the subject on caring and participation and passing that on to the students is very important in keeping them engaged in classroom activities and the lecture as a whole.

You make such a good point. If you are a caring instructor it is so hard to see an instructor that like to tear students down and drive them from the class. This is horrible for students to be treated this way.

I agree with your assessment, but in some cases one class and one negative over bearing instructor can affect an entire program. Students doesn’t always let Administrators know the real reasons for dropping out of school. That’s why is very important for all instructors to pay attention to how much they are caring and respectful to the students as human being.
