maintain retention
What is the best way to retain retention for non-subjected students?
Hi Fedinand,
I have been most successful with this type of students when I broke down their assignments, readings and projects into smaller segments. I show them how they can complete a part of their reading in a 5 to 10 minute session. The same with their homework, etc.. The key is they see that I am trying to help them be successful by understanding the challenges they have in their everyday lives. Rather than waiting until late at night after getting the kids to bed, cleaning the house and dealing with household budgets to do part of their assignments they can take 5 minutes and complete part of it. Then when some more and on and on. Before they know it they have completed their assignments and haven't had to stay up half the night to complete them.

Hi Gary,
Because most students in our classes are adults with fulltime jobs and family responsibilities, how do we help them balance this to ensure they can stay engage in class and school?
Fedinand
Hi Dennis,
Make the teaching dynamic and give numerous examples of application and relevancy of the material being offered. Be enthusiastic about the course and work hard to develop rapport with the students.
