building an enviroment for students to learn

This was a great module. I try to implement some of the suggestions in my classroom such as rewarding any student a twinkie and 5 bonus points for acing an exam. I've seen more engagement from students since implementing this. I also like the fun enviroment in the classroom. I try to take a daunting task and making it fun and funny so they don't realize its work.

Hi David,
This is a great idea for increasing student involvement. Thanks for sharing it with us. Things like this can make the difference in whether a student decides to attend class that day.

We have been tring this campus wide. We have a competition where every week we have a prize the students that have perfect attendance for the semester will be placed into a hat and a name is pulled. It gives the students a reward for hard work. The students that do not have perfect attendance see the great things that other students win and want to join the band-wagon.
It works great. Cost a little but is worth it.
