In an adult class setting it's important to establish trust and indepence to allow the students think and act as independent and responsible learners while treating them with respect.

Respect and dignity are important factors to consider when working with adult students. By extending both the instructor in turn will receive them back and then can establish rapport with each student for the duration of the course.
