Teachers helping to keep retention rate up

As a teacher, I have learned that there are many different types of students and what may be beneficial for one student may not be for another. Instead of looking at my students as a class I look at them as individuals who need and deserve one on one attention. When a student feels as if they are making a difference and are a part of something bigger they tend to stay until graduation. Also, if you are excited about what you are teaching the students will be excited to learn.

I can agree with what is being said. When I have given one-on-one attention to everyone (which might take me a class or two) everyone seems more relaxed and receptive.
