Finding out what students are passionate about in their personal lives and tying in the new knowledge they are receiving and how it can be helpful in those areas is always greatly appreciated. A good listener is always appreciated as well. Sometimes that is all they need to continue on. Of course we do not enable, but help the student to find solutions if there are problems.
