Keeping students focuse is important
Keeping students focuse is important when teaching I feel that the instructor should create different ways to keep students attention.
Aki,
I agree. I use games a lot in my classes for the reason you state. My students get ramped up and competitive when they know we are going to use games for review.

I agree that games are a wonderful way to help relax your class also I have discovered that the retention of material increases in a relaxed environment.
Marsha,
I love games as well. My students get really fired up when we go to game format. We have fun and they get a comprehensive review of the content. On test day they have a lot more confidence in what they know as a result of playing the games.

I love to play diff games with my students to keep them interested and help retain the informatiom. We do this as a review for the last class or on the current lecture to help the material sink in.
