Empower Students

Students will feel empowered if you allow them to take the initiative and actively become involved in the learnng process. Create an environment that will allow students to take risks. A nurturing, caring instructor sets the tone for successful learning.

DeShaun,
This are great exercises to build student confidence because they are problem solving and using their critical thinking skills. They get to apply what they have been learning.

Allow students input on practical labs. I like to let the students design their own diagrams and use their drawing to build a functioning circuit. That sense of accomplishment really helps their confidence and excitment to learn.

Kathleen,
You have described a supportive and enriching learning environment for students. We need to set up such learning opportunities for our courses so they are student centered and career enhancing.
