Raymond, the only way to challenge and motivate students is to first get to know them and understand the root causes of why they are going to school and what they hope to accomplish. The more we as instructors get to know our students the more we can use our own skills to challenge their understanding of the subject matter we teach and to motive them to perform to their best.
