teaching to all students
I have had all ages of students in my classes from 17 to students 60+. In my experience it doesn’t matter how old the student is, it’s are they interested in what you are teaching. They have to want to be there and want to learn what you are teaching. Your ability as an instructor will either make it easy or hard not only for the student but also for the instructor. but in the end they will succeed if they want it.
Hi Timothy,
Students want to be engaged! We have to be interersting/knowledgeable enough to make our students want to come back every day.

Hi Audie,
Yes older students really look for this. This is exactly what we should be giving to all students.

it is important to the older students you focus on what their needs and wants are for their education so you can give that information to them.
If they want to be there, they will learn from the instructor about the subject. The instructor must be able to teach at all levels and make it interesting or you will lose them.In the end,you get out what you put in
Hi William,
I have learned over the years that even adult learners need and want structure.

Students of all ages have passed through my classes.I have found most of them want structure to their education. Having a good class and lab lesson plan that covers all types of learners is important.
Hi David,
You have it! Students need to know the value of the course. Once students understand the course relevancy, you get a stronger committment from them.

I see all ages walk into the classes that I teach. If I can just get and keep their attention long enough , I can teach them the topic. I enjoy teaching to all ages because they all will learn if you show them value and the WOW factor of the topic at hand.
Hi Michael,
I agree! The student has to really want it in order to get it. It is all in the student's determination.
