Adult students as a motivational tool.
I have found that the classes with adult learners tend to go smoother. The younger students look up to the adults and tend to act more mature.

When you have a blended classroom with age you certainly have to have a mixture of how to deal with students, especially when it comes to technology.

I agree the older the student the more serious they are about learning the subject but with a cross section of young and old you have to learn to be flexible and not overwhelm the younger students yet provide more for the older more experienced students .

Most of my adult students are here for a purpose. They ask more pertinent questions pertaining to the subject at hand and not go off the subject as much. They are goal oriented. They also have some good inputs that pertains to life experience on some of the subjects that I teach about.

I will use the adults in class as leaders of my groups. They tend to hold a team together better and use there experience as the "glue".

If I had a preforance, i would have nothing but adult learners in my class, more mature, easier to instruct, and no discipline problems.
