procrastination stress

I find a relief in getting something done I didnt really want to do , most of the time the task was easier than I thought to get it done.

Yes, at the end of the day, we've got to leave ourselves some margin for error Kim. Even those of us who work well under pressure can use some wiggle room.

I agree; there are certain times in my life that I am more effective "last minute", but there is also the down side that if something doesnt go right, I can cause my own stress by procrastinating.

This is true Robert. It's just a question of whether the rush works for you. For some, that feeling is the motivator that gets them through their tasks. The rush is good. For others, it's just the feeling that comes before being late to a deadline.

As a lifelong procrastinator i can willingly admit to a certain rush when i put something off JUST long enough, then get it done under the wire. Enough rushes and it becomes a lifestyle!

Procrastination is something that everyone does when it comes to something that they just do not want to do. Sometimes we feel like we have plenty of time to complete tasks and then find ourselves running out of time. I do like the idea of making a list and I have found that if I make a list and follow it things get done before they need to be done and I am a lot less stressed.

Achieving work-family balance can be very stressful Andrea. It's hard to bring energy continuously to both areas of your life.

I have different stresses of prioriitizing.
For me it is more work vs. home tasks.
At home I procrastinate with tasks there if work tasks have bogged me down all day and am exhausted when I get home.

I have the same issue. When given a huge task. I tend to overdo the planning and research stage of the project. In reality, the project is simple.

The fear and insecurity do affect the initial stage of the project, on the other hand it what help me prepare to do well in the project. To avoid the procrastination issue, I gave myself a set schedule of when each stage of a project needs to be finished, this way. I get the work completed in time.

I concur. I usually try to do the things I least want to do first, than the other things. However, it is all based on priority.

This is true Daniel. Sometimes a task can feel daunting. Then, when we actually get in there and do it, it's not so bad after all.
