It's definitely motivating when you can cross things off of your list Kathy. It's a major confidence builder. Some instructors start with attacking easy tasks first to see a few tasks come of their lists quickly.

I completely agree Katie. I do that same thing and LOVE to cross out even the simple bank, post office even lunch.

I completely agree creating a "To Do List " allows me to prioritize my time effectively. Also it provides me a log of all duties performed throughout my work day giving me the feeling of accomplishment.

I feel that way also I will Put everything I want to get done the more I cross off the better I feel that I did a great job

I use the same system Linda. Having a notepad with you at all times lets you keep your ideas on paper and out of your mind. Sometimes when I don't have my notepad, I use my mobile device instead. I can make lists on it and / or email action items to myself for later. It's a great approach and works well for me!

I too keep a pad with my to do list with me at all times. I have students coming to me even on breaktimes for questions and help that I always have to keep notes for myself to keep everything straight.

I keep a notepad on my desk and I write all the things that I need to do that week and I keep adding as things come up. Then I work on my daily to do list and I prioritize my to do items. I cross out as I accomplish my tasks and I continuously renumber my lists until I have crossed out everything. If I don't finish everything for that day I move the unfinished items to the following day.

I think that people do what is faster first even if it is not the most important item on the list because of that.
