ED110,time and stress management for instructors
to me, my logic seems to apply to the first quiz. I would only add that personalities have not been discussed or even mentioned. I think everyones logic has to do with their individual personalities as they relate to the subject. what is important or logical to one may not belogical to another.
Sounds like a great approach Jeff. I can imagine this helps you see the big picture. When we take a step back, we often deal with stress in a much more rational and reasonable way.
I tend to be high-anxiety and get sidetracked with so many demands at once. Making lists and prioritizing will help me stay on track. I don't have to be all things to all people as they come to me. Some things can wait! How can I tell students to wait, as they think their requests are most important?
I tend to step back, take a walk to "clear the factors" if possible and determine the stressors.
Great points Raymond and yes, we must take personalities into account. Everyone is different. People have different needs and different reactions to stress. We've got to find ways of learning about the people who we work and live closely with and leverage what we know about them to be productive and stress free.
