Task Management Challenges

I've found that by organizing tasks in the same style covered in the module, that it is pretty easy to complete what needs to be done in a timely manner. What is complicated is sometimes putting aside ego or urgency when working through the task lists. Students should always be the priority though since they are ultimetly the customer.

Thomas, So true. When you appear more confident, your students are often a lot easier to manage because you command greater respect and confidence from them.

I agree 100%, organize, organize, organize. That is one of the most important steps to being an instructor. If your organized, you are more confident and appear more professional to the students.

Rachel, You make a valid point. We cannot be - or appear to be - 100% accessible to students 24/7. When we do, they do not learn to plan ahead or respect our time. It's important to create boundaries for their learning and for our time.

I agree that this module is helpful in providing a guide for task management, and that our students are our priority. We should also keep in mind that we may better serve them by making appointments for meetings rather than always being available each time we are called on by them. This allows us to be better prepared to deal with the students' concerns.
