Task and To Do List
After reading this information, I didnt realize how stress I am because disorganization. I am going to start doing a "To Do List" from now on. I believe this will help with workload and stress tremdously
i know that I always am making to do lists, using my Outlook calendar at work or my Iphone/Ipad to keep me on track at home and my own business.
I use a "to do list" which helps a lot more than I thought it would. I always had a "to do list", however it was only kept in my head. Just by writing it down rather than keeping it all locked up in your head, releives a lot of stress. And now a days if you have a smart phone there are free "to do list" apps you can download. If you have an iphone, a good one is "remember the milk". Hope that helps.
Antonio, I have to agree that when working with many students, it's so easy to get side tracked. Having a to do list helps you focus on them while not dropping the ball on tasks you know you have to complete.

a to do list is very useful in the workplace especially when you have to deal with students one on one on a continuous basis. Its very easy to get distracted by co-workers and students when you have a lot on your plate. Jot down what you have to do, this way you will keep up with YOUR duties for the day. Its also a good way to manage your time.
I agree. This must be put into practice for me because of my leadership role, my tasks have increased; therefore, a 'to do' list is very applicable for me to meet deadlines.
I agree. The only way I can get things accomplished is by a "to do" list. My brain just wont accomodate all of the things I need to do and accomplish.
Marilyn, Sounds like an honest assessment. Yes, in both home and personal lives, we live with lots of clutter. Wading through the clutter can be stressful when we are trying to get things done. A to do list can help with that, making it easier to see and focus on what's most important.

I too become frustrated and spend too much time spinning my wheels. I think I will start making a list to complete with prioritization today and work on getting teh clutter out of my work and home life.

Jeanie, Excellent to hear. Sometimes just taking a step back and discovering what's been bothering you is the best direction. Sounds like you've identified the problem. This brings you much closer to the solution.

Sandy, Excellent to hear! Yes, Outlook is a wonderful resource for organization. Sometimes great time management just takes getting to know the tools we already have access to.

I always use my To-Do Bar in Outlook. It just makes my job easier to see the tasks I need to complete each day.
