The note pad on my phone is even good for a grocery list. I think this is a great way to manage time. In the classroom instructors can set their schedules and alerts on their phones for deadlines as well.

Scott, So true! There's something about checking off tasks, crumpling your list and throwing it away that makes you feel like progress is being made. It's a great feeling and sometimes there's not replacement for the real thing.

While many people I know like having their to do list digital, I like at the very least printing it out. There's nothing more satisfying than crumpling up a completed "to do" list and filing it in the "done" pile (aka garbage).

I like the idea of using your mobile device for 2 reasons, 1. it is always handy so you can add something to your list as soon as it pops in your head and 2. you can keep all your to-do lists consolidated in one place, rather than having multiple lists going at once.

Mamie, So true. It's wonderful to always have your list with you. Sometimes though, lists can be easy to forget. When this happens, I recommend transferring them to live on items you always have with you --like your mobile phone.

It is so very easy for faculty to become overwhelmed with all of the many different task we have to sucessfully complete. I found making a list and keeping that list with me helps to keep me on track. Balancing work, family and community activities is a continous challenge.

Zafar, Love your thinking. Your mobile device is always with you, so it makes complete sense to use it as a to do list. What I also like is the way you can easily update your list, without having to write everything out multiple times. This approach saves paper too!
