Prioritizing Work and Keep Track of Time

What are the most effective ways to get the prority items done and keep track? I like to use Outlook to input my weekly goals and daily tasks. I especially find the reminders of when things are due.

Laura, These are great! Of course, we have to make sure we are focused in on those reminders. It's good to keep your iPhone volume turned up and have sounds that correspond with reminders during work hours. You can turn these off at night when you want to unplug too.

Yes- the iphone calendar is great, you can set alarm/reminders of your tasks!

Jade, Way to use technology to become more organized! Some instructors are intimidated by tools like iphone calendars. Sounds like you've really embraced it, with positive results.

I agree. I like to use my iPhone "notebook" and write down all the things I need to do. I list them in order (with the first one being most important) I also use a calendar to remind me of appointments, etc.

I too write down all that I have to do as far as assignments and my students are in the same manner.

I agree, however since I work at two schools, and work full time for a non-profit, I find the best way is to use my smart phone, followed up by a old school calendar. I use the numbering system, and different colors to represent who the task belongs to. This would be difficult if I was color blind though.
