making a list
I personally work a full time job and teach-I need to keep an ongoing list of things to do if i dont I will forget. On saturday I work through my list of things to do and do the important ones first.
Christopher, Cloud technologies can work great at keeping us organized when we have the right access. It's wonderful to have lists everywhere and anywhere. Make sure you get your privacy settings right of course.

I will consider the Cloud for keeping a list. For years my list has been on standard yellow lined pad of paper. I swear by my perpetual "to do list" and have shown many how effective one can be when you have the pad with you at all times.
I agree with you Joseph. You should make lists up of all things that you want to do. Of course, I learned the hard way, I memorize everything and forget some. My husband is always telling me to write the things down so I don't forget and it took me a long time to admit it.
Joy, That sounds like a great approach. It can really give you peace of mind when your list for the following day is organized and ready for you.

I always make a to-do list before I go to bed. I want to mentally prepare myself for the next day's tasks.
find that a "to do list" actually assits me in making sure things do not fall thru the cracks
prioritize the list for best results and continue to update your list - priorities do change and so should your list
Joseph, Excellent to hear and you are absolutely right. It's wonderful to store your lists on the cloud and have access to them anywhere. This makes both referencing and updating your lists easy.

I like using google chrome apps to make lists of important things to do. They are easy to edit and arrange and available anywhere.
Tonia, Sometimes we have to cut into our weekend time to invest in a little organization. This can be tough to do but well worth it in ensuring we have a good week that follows. Some instructors block off specific times during the weekend, like Saturday morning or Sunday evening, to get the organization done. I recommend doing it earlier as opposed to later in the weekend so you can get on with things and enjoy the rest of your time!
