As all instructors know, paperwork is one of our most dreaded enemies. Over the years, I have been forced to make getting the paperwork done my number one priority. It's sort of like an AA thing; 1) admit you have a problem, 2) know that you'll have to fight it every day, 3) be determined to win out over it. On the plus side, now that I've made it a priority, the results are often surprisingly positive; frequently I am pleasantly surprised that completing the paperwork didn't take as long as I thought, and I can bask in the glow of knowing that I got the job done!

Esther, It sounds like you know you have a challenge and that's the first step to dealing with it. Some of us are simply born to procrastinate and that is understandable. The key is to make sure you carefully assess priority tasks and really push yourself to complete those in a timely manner.

I have been a procrastinator all of my life. Not only at work, but also in my personal life as well. I'm definitely a work in progress on this one. I am trying to make my goal for 2014, to do more and procrastinate less cause I truly believe this will take a lot of stress out of my life.
I've discovered that I procrastinate big projects, because they can seem overwhelming & time consuming. I realized if I broke the project down into sections I finished at a reasonable time & wasn't so stressed out.

I to am the same way it makes me sick then I rush to finish and am tired afterward.
My main issue is I either procrastinate, or I obsess over whatever I'm working on, I need to be able to find a happy medium. I think once I do this I will be much more efficient with everything I do.

Yes, I often put things off to the point that I get headaches and stomach aches wondering how I am going to get everything done.
This can be a big obstacle and bad when it comes to trying to manage your time. Putting things off for later is poor time management as it can overwhelm result in over working later and cause unnecessary stress resulting in poor health.
