Prioritizing
Prioritizing is key in my ability to be efficient. I don't always write it down, but I am always mentally listing and reprioritizing my day. I get extremely stressed out when things are not efficient.
I can relate to this, except I think for me it helps to write things down. I find it is more ingrained and I see it in black and white right in front of me. I worry I will forget something if I don't write it down. I also like to be able to add to the written list as I come across more items that need to be added. I admire that you are able to just remember the items in your head.
I defenetly think that prioritizing is important, useially we like to do the easiest tasks first but we should focus on soing the most important task first because this will help avoid stress in the long run.
Eliazar, This approach works well for people who don't have too many tasks coming into their queue at the same time. When work starts to overflow, sometimes people with even the best memories need to write things down.

Anne Alexis, Sounds like you have a great system in place driving efficiency. Keep it up! Prioritization works well for many.

I am like you in the sense that I don't always write things down either. Mentally, I prepare myself for class time. If there seems to be too much material to cover, I write it down as to not lose my thoughts.
It's interesting that I'm the complete opposite. I need to write everything down. If it's not written down it occupies brain space! I don't prioritize in the traditional sense either. If I can finish a task in under two minutes I do it immediately. If it takes longer than that, the task goes on one of my lists to be completed at a specific destination like my desk or at home.
