Grading
I like the idea of streamlining grading.
This takes up a significant part of our time.
I prefer multiple choice questions that can be pregraded as assessment checks as the term progresses but prefer short answer at the end of the term.
The one thing my wife hears me complain about is grading. Here is the weekend and I sit at the table on Sat morning for two hours grading papers. I absolutely despise doing it. These are music classes and I sure would like to find a website that has online homework that can be assessed and records a grade that I can obtain. May be hard to do because so much of learning music is not just answering true/false or multiple choice, but learning how to draw the notes, build chords, etc......
Anyway, I will be checking out some of the websites listed in this module for help. Of all the modules I have viewed so far, this has been the best one and most relevant to me.
I WISH!! But I teach writing, and there's only one real way to see if a student's writing has grown: assign (and therefore read) and essay. If anyone knows of another shorter way, I'd truly love to hear about it!
