Time for myself

I can see when I was younger how much time I wasted because of lack of organization. I feel today I valkue time management morte than ever

My co workers regularly bust my beans for getting into work early 1/2 hour or more in the morning, I call it "Me Time", It is the only time of day I can focus...sip a cup of coffee and visualize my day.

Wow, it sounds like you have a tremendous amount on your plate Teri. I like how you both acknowledge that you can give up some things but also talk about how you choose not to. Time and stress management is all about acknowledging what we can control and making choices about how to control it.

I have an extrodinarily busy life. I have a full time job, I teach part time, I am currently enrolled in school to receive my associate degree in nursing and I have a husband and two teenage children, neither of which are able to drive but are involved in extra cirricular activities. I know that I am stretched very thin, especially on the days I teach because I only have about a half hour all day where I am not at work, taking a class, teaching a class or en route to any of these activities and that sparse amount of time is spent with my family trying to make up for the other 17 hours of the day that I am busy.
I love everything that I do and cannot bring myself to give up any of these things.
I am very organized at my full time job, but being an adjunct instructor means that I do not have office space or even a file cabinet drawer to keep things. I have absolutely no organization at home and if it wasn't for my husband I would probably never be able to find so many things in my house.
What I am trying to say is that I am really hoping that this module will help me to organize myself enough to feel like I am not ignoring my own needs or my family's needs.

I have found that by using a to do list it keeps me organized and that give me more time for myself at the end of the day.

I have to manage time in order to not have bad stress. It is important to have some leisure time in order to have a healthy balanced life.

Time management is critical in the education setting whether that is clerical or just in everyday function. I find it hard to seperate that organization from my work life to personal life. At times my family will check me and tell me that I am in work mode rather than mom mode.

When i manage my time well, I usually am able to set some time for myself.

To-do lists are very helpful, I share mine with my team and ask them to add if they have anything, then we work together to try to accomplish as much as possible.
