Computer organization
I am very organized when it comes to my physical items such as books, lecture materials, tests, etc. But I have more difficulty organizing my computer desk top. I have many files that could be condensed into one or two files. This would cut down on the time I spend looking for individual files especially since our desktop icons are never in the same location (due to the way IT configues our computers). I certainly appreciate the tips for computer file organization found in this module
Years ago I had a friend that taught me how to manage computer files. I was taught to create a folder with a generic name, from there add sub folders and sub folders can also have sub folders. I was taught to put only what I use daily on the desktop. I do not waste time (creating more stress) finding what I need. Good file management is so important.
I find it very difficult to remain organized. Competing one grading period and trying to prepare for the next one is really difficult. My work space gets messy. I am better with organization when I have access to my computer files.
