Stress

I feel it is part of life and one's needs to learn to deal with it in a positive manner.

James, So true. Sometimes it's tough to separate work and personal worlds. This is especially true for people who complete a portion of their work from their homes.

Stress is in our daily life we need to learn how to deal with it. For me, I need to keep my work stress at work and not to bring it home to my family.

Yes, exercise, reading and music are all great outlets. If these are the ones that work best for you when you are stressed, go with that.

Stess happens to all of us at some time or another. I think we all need some form of a outlet to help conttol the stess in our lives such as exercise, reading a book, listening to music.

Stress can be hard to deal with in the classroom. The most important thing is to keep your composure.

This is true Lauraine. It's hard to take a step back and see the big picture. Sometimes we aren't in tune with what's causing us to feel stressed. Getting in tune with our stressors and understanding how they impact us is a great first step in the right direction.

Often times we don't really equate daily obstructions and life issues with stress. So we wear ourselves thin before the answers to the stress is revealed.

Exactly, learning how to calm yourself down is an important skill.

I think it is important to know when you are stressed and learn the tools to destress yourself. Then you can help the students recognize stress within them.

This is indeed true Ryan. A positive attitude can go a long way with students and faculty alike.

I think a possitive additude helps out students when they are getting stressed.

This is true yet some people were never taught this skill. so as an instructor to beginning program students it is imperative that you have compassion and can help teach them the skill; recognizing when it is needed
