Taking Online Courses - always at the last minute...
As an adjunct instructor, I am commited to the school, but I have many more commitments. It seems the communication is lost between FT faculty and the PT faculty. Sometimes alerting us of necessary courses that must be done on our own time (not on the clock like the FT) and having to disregard outside commitments is stressful.
Funny.... I just mentioned something similar in Forum 1. I don't know how to balance mandatory meetings with only 1 hour notice, grading, communicating with students and huge bio outlines due by Friday every week. Which part should be lower on the priority list?

I tend to agree with this a bit. Sometimes I feel as though my adjunct position could easily be full-time with all of the "other" commitments that come along with it. Perhaps communicating this with your university contact person or someone in a position to do something with this type of information would be helpful. I am sure if you are feeling this way than perhaps others are as well.
