This is true Melinda. Exercise can be the first thing to go. I recommend trying to fit it in at shorter intervals when you can. Even 15 minutes can make such a big difference.
I agree. I really notice my stress levels rising when I miss a few workouts. Unfortunately, exercise is one of those "extras" that get eliminated when tasks stack up. I must work on this.
I work out at least 5 times a week. Sometimes it is closer to 6 times a week. I agree, it really helps keep my stress level down to a managable level.
Yes, finding the time for exercise can be really tough. I recommend starting small and working your way up. Just try for 15 minutes a few times a week. Even this can make a world of difference.
I agree exercise is so helpful in reducing stress! But for me it is finding the time to do the exercising that is the issue. I really enjoy working out and getting started is usually not a problem, but finding the right time with a schedule that is constantly changing makes it very challenging to establish a routine. If I don't have a routine, it then starts to become challenging to stick with an exercise program.
Yes, getting started is indeed the hardest part Jennifer. But owning your own gym can definitely help, especially if other family members also work out. When exercise becomes a family activity, it's easy to keep at it.
My husband and I own a personal training gym. So I know the value of exercise in reducing stress. If I miss a workout, I feel it mentally and emotionally. I agree though, getting started is the hard part :)
excercise and working out is a great stress relief. It gives a sennse of accomplishment, you are looking better and energizing your body with positive vibes and you blow off steam at the same time. Even a long walk with the dogs aftwer work is a grweat way to chill.
It's great to hear you enjoy doing it Andy. Many people really enjoy exercise once they get into a routine. It's the getting started that's often the hard part.
Exercise is a great way to reduce stress in my personal life and career. Plus I enjoy doing it so I guess that helps.
