Stress

This is a subject that I know will make people mad. It always does! Stress is something that people bring on to themselves. How people conduct their own lives is how stress will affect them. Things like procrastination or not having projects organized by importance will cause stress. Waiting until the last minute to get task completed will also be stressful. The list goes on and on….

It's true Dennis. There are some stressors that are completely out of our control. It's important to identify them and approach them carefully.

Yes I agree to some extent. I also think that some factors of stress are completely out of our hands no matter how well prepared you might be.

In many ways, people can and do bring stress into their lives Richard. You are right. To a certain extent, we are in control.

Richard… I “totally” agree with you on this one. It has been my experience that changes to a person's lifestyle and work situation can certainly aid in stress-reduction, but a person needs also to do some work on their own attitudes and behavior to aid in stress-reduction. Taking responsibility for who you are being and what you say to others is very important. Stress becomes bottled up within if we do not release it and it is important for people to express their feelings openly, without hostility. If you cannot express what you feel, think and experience, these emotions can get bottled up and trapped within, with no outlet to vent or express yourself and can cause stress for you.
