I wish that they would sit in or teach a class for one day to see how ineffective some of these standards are.
I agree. Administrators and owners have lost touch with the stress and needs of their educators. I have found that requesting a weekly or even monthly conference is helpful. If you don't find it helpful after the first conference, do not give up. Somewhere along the line the administrator or owner will begin to see the light, slowly at first, but your persistence will pay off.
I agree that administators need to teach classes during each semester of school. I believe they lose perspective when out of the classroom environment and this causes some to put unrealitic demands on the staff.
