Stress Relief

When I become overwhelmed and stressed my eating and sleeping habits tend to take a backseat. I find that when I am overwhelmed with tasks on my plate, eating a healthy meal and taking a short exercise break will re-energize my mind and calm my nerves down to focus on the task at hand.

Lan, It's great to hear that you have book reading as an outlet. I completely understand what you mean about not having the time to actually do it. One option that might be of interest is to get your books in different formats that work better with your schedule. For example, if you have a long commute, you can do a book on tape for the car or train ride.

I like to read book for stress relief, but I don't have much time for it.

I agree, I've experienced the same! For me I have found that going to the beach at a time that it isn't crowded is very relaxing. Fortunately the beach is not too far away, it is not as close as I would like but usually I can get there once a week for a long walk. I've also found that exercise breaks and daily walking helps to reduce my feelings of stress.

I find that any physical activity is key in stress relief - it takes your mind off of things and definitely helps with sleep.

Charles, Nice strategy! I understand that the YMCA can be affordable too. It's great to find affordable, in town outlets for stress relief. Glad you found yours.

I find that going to my local YMCA walking the treadmill and taking a steam bath or sauna is a great stress reliever.
