Dealing with stress

I've usually used the tactic of listening to music and taking a short power walk in between classes or breaks. Helps to blow some steam off and clear my mind for a bit.

I agree. Especially when it is a beautiful day. Looking at the sky and all the beauty around me helps take my mind off of the stressor at hand. It takes me to a nicer place leaving the stress behind me.

Yes, sometimes just removing yourself from the classroom setting for a few minutes can make a tremendous difference on your point of view. It's so nice to have a change of pace, even just for a short while.

I have found that often it is good to leave the room durring a scheduled break and maybe go outside. This allows the stress source to be interupted by a change in environment.

Very often small breaks, a short walk or even a 15 minute power nap can help me reduce stress and refocus on my activities.

Sounds like a great method Frank. Tai Chi helps many people with stress.

I find doing Tai Chi helps me with stress.

There are indeed individual differences Sabina. It's nice to hear that you've found music and reading as two methods that work well for you.

There are several ways of dealing with stress. Each of us have our own way - which may work for us but not for others. I recently started listening to music during my long commutes. I musst agree it does help me relax. Reading a good book as well works too. As I indicated earlier, what works for you, go with it.
