Coping with Stress

How do you cope with stress? What techniques would you suggest to others to cope with stress?

I have learned to catagorize the importance of effectiveness on my goals.

Yes, I agree William. When we can localize the source of stress and address that source, we can sometimes permanently eliminate the stressor. Better to treat the problem than the symptoms!

I believe that considering the source of the stress and determining the consequences of eliminating this source are important decision making tools to effectively judge and proceed with the solution. Equally important is the observation of the results of this action to determine effectiveness.

I find that simple daily activities such as meditating which can simply involve sitting quiet for 5 minutes and breathing slowly and deeply. This has a huge impact on calming a stressed mind and body. Also, finding something to laugh at daily, Comedy movies or TV sitcoms are great. It is hard to feel stressed after a good bought of laughter.
