Coping with Stress

When I am stressed, I stretch my muscles. Not only does it feel good but, it helps reduce my stress. I also talk with my supervisor when I am stressed about a class of students.

Gardening ,or taking my grand-children out is my way of coping with stress. Children--- sounds like stress to some, but you could call it diversion, their laughter and sense of well-being can be refreshing.

Walks are great. Some instructors take them a few times a day, and they can even happen on campus too.

Yes, I agree with your coping mechinisms. I like to add that I go for walks for another form of coping with stress.

Sounds like you have two great coping mechanisms that are working well for you Sandra. Keep it up!

Yes, there are some techniques - like yoga - that you can really take anywhere. Yoga is great when you're on the go and traveling for work too.

Those are excellent methods. I'm a huge fan of yoga, not only does it help to stretch and strengthen my muscles, it teaches me how to breath properly. I can talk these techniques out of the gym and into work everyday!
