Stress free living.
I don't feel that we will ever be stress free in our lives. But better stress management is the key to eliminating and declining the amount of stress on a daily basis.
Great point Jodi and I'm glad you mentioned eustress. Some stress is actually good in our lives. It's important to acknowledge that a little stress can help us drive toward our goals.
I think that it is important for us to remember that there are two types of stress. It is true that there is no real way to eliminate all stress and if you think about both types, why would one want to eliminate all of it. What we need to do is increase the eustress (things like celebrating a milestones) which are positive and reducing the distress (things that are often thought of as stressful such as paying bills).
I agree that no matter what, we live in a stress filled society & the only thing that we can do is use some of the skills learned in this course to cope with these stressors. Although eliminating stressors is helpful as it will reduce the amount of stress somewhat other stressors cannot be eliminated but rather must be "embraced." This method will allow you to deal with the stress more effectively.
Stress-free living is what your trying to achieve but when you do achieve it you should always look into why you did not.
Yes, it's about reducing stress. Very hard to eliminate it completely.
Stress-free living is nonexistent; however, we must learn to minimize the amount of stress we must endure.
This is the right approach Mary. It's not about complete elimination of stress because that's just not possible. Focus on reduction.
