Handling stressors
I guess I am very lucky to have my husband, my family, friends and religious people that I can vent on. These people gives me so much support. Just listening to me is a big help. They alos know how to make me smile and laugh and pretty soon forget about my problems.
My husband and I like to go for walks and also do some exercises. These helps both of us unwind because even he has stress at work too.
Getting enough sleep is my number priority. I tell my friends I would rather sleep than eat sometimes.
Sometimes learning to avoid the stresses in life is helpful. Getting religious advises also helps.
Sounds like a great way to handle stress Donald. I like the way you are able to exercise, talk and spend quality time all at once!
My wife and I alway go for walks and just talk about the day and this works for both of us to reduce our stress for the day.
Sounds like you've got some great strategies for handling stress Kyla. You are right. Zumba is a great outlet and lots of fun too. Venting can be healthy as long as it's not overdone.
I, too, like to exercise to reduce stress. It's amazing all of the benefits that Zumba or a quick walk can do for my mind and body.
I also vent A LOT to some of my friends to the point that I sometimes feel badly for doing so, but they haven't complained yet, so I guess it's okay. :)
Group exercise is wonderful because it helps you stay motivated and on track Amy. It's great to hear you have an exercise partner that you love. Great way to spend time and be productive too!
My husband and I exercise together, too! It's a fun way to stay healthy, vent our stresses, and spend time together, which helps my stress level greatly. I'm very much a homebody--I love my husband and my cats and love being at home with them. They relieve my stress and keep me calm.
I, too, would rather sleep than eat sometimes! Getting enough sleep is a BIG priority for me--I just can't function on 6 hours a night.
Which means I need to be proficient in my to-do lists and task management, so that I have the time at the end of the day to get to bed at a decent hour.
Sounds like you have many great outfits Marlo. Friends, family as well as religious institutions are all wonderful sources of strength in stressful times. Glad to hear that you are leveraging those sources.
