Stress Coping
I have used many of the course concepts, coping skills, in my life which has made a tremendous difference in my relatively stress free life now.
Hi everyone. I have also used many of the techniques outlined in this module to reduce or eliminate, but at least cope with the stress. My favorite, however, is jogging, especially if it is raining lightly. I also, exercise at a gym, time permitting when really stressed out. But I also do a lot of breathing exercises that has proven very helpful as well. I became a true believer in breathing as a coping mechanism when I received medical treatment for anxiety. The combination of the two does really work. As a matter of fact, I found that even walking around the building a couple of times does tend to start reducing work-related stress, when you face a stressful situation at work that you just cannot walk away from.
I have too! I find that exercising actually relaxes me enough to help me to become more focused. When I come home from the gym, I find that I can complete the tasks that I need to complete in a much more efficient manner. Which of the specific coping skills have you utilized in order to reduce your stress levels?
Hello Gary,
I have also used many of the examples of coping skills and has helped me as well.
