Lists
I believe students can learn minimizing stress by using proactive planning and lists for each day.
Amen to this. If students and us both be proactive in planning each days task, it is soooo much easier. The reason we failed to do this is that we get lazy and sometimes forgetting it thinking we got this in our head. Each day, set aside 15 min to plan each days task WILL make a difference.
Sherri, Yes that's a big part of the fun of lists. We get to cross things off and feel a great sense of completion. It's wonderful to be able to review past lists and experience our progress.

I agree... with so many things to remember, I usually write a note to myself. This ensure that I wont miss or forget something and also gives me satisfaction when I can cross things off my list...
I am definately a "list" person. I get great satisfaction when I cross items off! lol
Melissa, All true! Lists also help us focus on our priorities. Priorities come to life easily when we have everything on paper. Lists give us great perspective.

Lists are wonderful. Write it all down and mark it off. It gets it out of your head so you can concentrate on other tasks at hand. Then when done you can mark it off and seen how much you have accomplished for the day.
Alexander, That's a great point. Lists are a wonderful way of tracking your accomplishments. It's a wonderful feeling at the end of the day to see many items on your list crossed off!

I'm all about a planned list, it gives me direction and I know at the end of the day what got done.
Absolutely. My day seems to go better when I have a 'plan' written out
