Managing stress
The best way I found to manage stress is to try to be as prepared as possible for the days tasks. When I feel like I can't reduce stress I try to determined how important it really is and can I eleminate or reduce it and do when ever possible.
I agree, being prepared takes all the worry out of the planning process.
I do feel that the more prepared I am even for tasks that are unfamiliar to me then the less stress I feel when I begin to take on those tasks.
I also find that proper perspective helps reduce my stress. Examining the impact of a task may help you see that the consequences of what you worry about are not really as bad as you thought.
I also agree. I will see the problem, and try to solve it by simply dealing with it head on. Anything you can fix, fix, and anything that will take time to fix, you can work on.
John, Yes, preparation is truly the key! A little up front organization can safe a significant amount of time longer term. We avoid problems and / or are more prepared for them this way.

I agree. The stress reducer I have found is to be proactive instead of reactive. Many of the people I work with go throughout the day without a game plan. When something comes up that they did not prepare for, then it becomes everyone else's problem too.
