BECOMING AN INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY EXPERT

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A NERVOUS SPEAKER AND THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS I DECIDED TO TEACH. I KNOW THIS TAKE TIME TO OVERCOME ESPECIALLY FOR NEW INSTRUCTORS...HOWEVER, I AM LEARNING IF I DON'T MANAGE THE CLASS EFFECTIVELY, STUDENTS WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE INSTRUCTOR. WHAT CAN I DO TO SPEAD UP THE (IDE)?

-ALYCE

Hello Joe,
Absolutely! As instructors, we must display vast knowledge and great confidence, otherwise you will lose all credibility.
Patricia

High Patricia, I agree, each class has a different dynamic therefore making the instructor adapt to that dynamic. Thorough knowledge of the material and confidence in what you do will make you sucessful more times than not. joe

Hi Edward,
Amazingly so, I never teach the same course the same way twice, simply because each time you teach to a new group. As you've mentioned, we have to mix it up some.
Patricia

As you gain confidence in the repeated presentations of the same course material to different groups of students you will enjoy inventing new and diversified presentations just to break the tedium of the "Same Old Same Old" So So syndrone. This in turn helps freshen your approach to the new groups and should help keep them on their toes towards the new learning experience at hand. Good luck and keep mixing it up,with a twist and a smile.

Hi Alyce,
The IDE comes with time. You are more comfortable now than you were when you first started, I am sure.
