I find most if not all students learn better when they have a demo of the task they will be learning to do. And one on one demos are very good as well.

I completely agree with you about the demonstrations. I love to show my students how something is done and what I have found is the best way to get it done. My students love getting the hands on experience and feel better prepared for when they get out into the workforce and have to complete the same type of work for real.

I agree O'Brien. It also lets the students know that we apply the material and are able to do what we are teaching them to do. Again, making their learning more relevent
