Clearly defining the objectives of the class can help student focus on the goal.
Having clearly defined obectives for the students gives them a greater focus on their future. As educators we are responsible for nuturing, engaging and challenging the students to reach their goals. How we define those goals from the begining is the greatest and most important task we as educators have. It sets them on the path to reach the future and succeed
If I have given students a direction with a sylibus, they tend to ask less questions about whats next.
As instructors we are grooming our students for the future. In our programs having clear expecations or objectives lets students be responsible for their actions,behaviors and keeps them on task. There are no surprised about deadlines and due dates. It also lets them be ambitious and work ahead.
