Most student learn by seeing and or by demonstration, by show other students work helps the students understand that they can do it if they are having a hard time understanding
I have to agree with you that most students do learn better by seeing and through demonstration. For most people we get a better grasp on what we can see or touch. I am a dental assisting instructor and I love when I demonstrate a skill to students and then they perfect the skill by showing it to another student.

Students love seeing! Seeing is believing, and the information really sticks. Visualization adds a lot of flavor to the course as well.

I teach massage therapy and most of my students are visual learners, If i show them as I lecture on the topic/modality for that section, I find more students are engaged and will remember what was taught to them.
