Student need a reason to learn.
They need to know that their chosen career and that this knowledge will help them on their career path.
Yes, adult learners need to know what their goals are in relation to their experience. They can only get engaged in discussion if there is a stimulus that keeps the class going.
I so agree if we put our expectations from day one and implement them on how it can help them be more successful in the working world by meeting deadlines if they can not turn in assignments on time are they going to be able tp complete tasks assigned to them.
