It is awesome when you can use yourself as an example with students. Students think that we had perfect lives. We have to let them know that things were not handed to us, especially education, and we had to work hard to achieve our goals.

I often use myself as a living example . I tell them that I was once a student just like them with aspirations and ambitions. That I kept myself focused and determined to achieve my goals. I would often give examples of real success stories of my previous students who are now doing well in the field. That the medical field is one of the best careers in this time of recession. That graduates like this course because it pays good and it is a very respectable profession.
