Inspiring students to succeed...
Our purpose as educators to share and inspire; what other leading factor is their?
I truly feel it is an honor to do what we do on a daily basis. I find myself wearing many hats with our students and while that is not a bad thing some of your students have such intense life issues sometimes, I find myself at a loss of words to encourage them. Sure I can use the normal replies "you can do it!", "It will be ok" however at the end of the day they have to leave the safe haven of the classroom and return back into reality. What do you say?
Hi Charles,
Our students need all the inspiration they can get. A lot of our students need an abundance of encouragement. We have to be our students biggest cheerleader.

I explain to my students how the courses they are learning is necessary to meet their career objectives. I give personal examples what I learned as a student and how it benefits in the workplace
There are so many levels to inspiring a person. I would suggest professional role model as another. As an educator helping them find "belief" in their capability and setting a solid foundation for the expectation to succeed will be a benefit throughout their career in general. Great question in my opinion.
Hi Ernesto,
We certainly must lead by example and show our students what it means to be a professional!
