Setting stage for success

I always refer to my experiences from industry I have been working for many years. Those experiences cannot be learned from book, and they are good motivation for students to learn their subjects.

Hi Carrette,
We give you exactly what you need in order to help make your students successful. Continue to be an effective educator!

Thanks Ms Scales. I have had excellent success. I realize that the adults love this this approach. These Max knowledge courses get right to the heart of what need heart of the teaching learning process. I appreciate them. and i appreciate your feedback.

Hi Carrette,
I love your approach! There is nothing like giving students a solid foundation. Our students need something to build from. I am sure you reach most of your students due to utilizing such simplistic approach. I always loved instructors like you when I was in school.

I view success in two stages; Classroom success and success after the classroom experience.
CLASSROOM SUCCESS:
I do not take anything for granted when ever I start a new module with my students. I always highlight key terms and key concepts. I put these term and concepts in color, I use them in a learning webs.I present these terms in a graphic and visually pleasing way. I want them to be flowing with me as I lecture; I don't want to be talking above their heads. They must be emotionally and cognitively plugged into the lecture. I have learnt my lesson well; so I always go back to basics; a way of my laying the foundation for my class. This fosters comprehension, hence, classroom success in exams and quizzes.
SUCCESS AFTER GRADUATION:
Like the others have suggested. Tell them stories about your experience on the field is a sure way to arrest their attention and their minds.

Hi Judith,
Great tactics for getting our students job ready. We also must do a great job on teaching our students how to keep the job.

Patricia Scales

I agree with Iris - sharing personal work experiences in the field and applying anecdotes that relate to course objectives can speak volumes as well as teach practical application.

Hi Iris,
You have it! Experience is the best teacher, and book theory does not even compare. Students enjoy hearing about our experiences as to how they apply to the real world.
