Learning Rationale
It is so very important, especially for adult learners, that they have a desire to learn what is expected of them. Someone needs to have a genuine desire for the course content. When one has such a desire, it makes learning much more enjoyable and, more importantly, relatable. It also vital that adult learners see their instructors being excited about the profession they have chosen!
I think that students will buy in with the same passion as the instructor displays and demonstrates in class. Active learners are stimulated by active teachers. I have students in chairs for 5 hour lectures , I best be exciting and interesting.
This is a great point. When students understand that the information they are learning is applicable to their career goals, they are ever so much more motivated to retain it. Also, when they are able to put the information to practical use in an activity, it really underscores its relevance to their lives.

It makes it very nice where there is a desire to learn. Students have a better attitude when they really and truly want to be there to learn.
