Use It Wisely Cards

I think this is a great idea. I will incorporate this into my classroom

Hi DeVaria,
Try it you will love it! It is truly effective.
Patricia

Oh wow! This is such a nice idea to incorporate into my classroom. It will also encourage the "inattentive" students to become more engaged after the "talkative" or "star" students exhaust theirs.

I really like the idea of these cards, I do something similar in the classroom. I feel I have more problems with students not participating, as opposed to talking quite a bit. I have the students write their name on a notecard the first day of class and I go through the notecards during lectures that way everyone is called on and no one feels as if they are being picked on.

Hi Allina,
Super! The cards work beautifully. You will love them.

I love the idea of these cards! I think it will not only work great for the outspoken students, but the quiet ones as well. I have participation points in my class for each day. I have been looking for a way to assess their involvement. I could require that they use these 5 cards each class period to receive their full credit each day. I am so excited to use this idea next quarter!

Hi Detra,
The use-it-wisely card is very effective. Try it, it works beautifully.
Patricia

I tend to have "center-of-attention" students who often contribute to the learning but, at times, go too far with suggestions and feedback. I like the idea of the use-it-wisely cards because it doesn't single out anyone and it's a seamless way of controlling the learning environment.
